Astronomers say that a small asteroid is going to enter the Earth's atmosphere and burn up over Africa early tomorrow morning. This is notable mainly because this is the first time scientists have been able to predict such an event.They emphasize that the asteroid is relatively small, measuring only 15 feet or so across. The object is NOT expected to reach the ground, and we have absolutely nothing to worry about.
On the other hand, if we wake up tomorrow to find the entire world engulfed in flames before it plunges into a millennium of permanent darkness, we'll know they were wrong.
