It was a truly amazing year. From the zany hijinks of Tonya Harding to the wacky antics of O.J. Simpson, it was 12 months best spent hiding under your bed. And for those of you who did, here is a chronology of what you missed. As for the rest of you, will, this can serve as a cruel reminder.

Some of the year's events were major, others were minor, but they all served to shape our nation, our world, and our very lives. And yes, this is similar to the one Dave Barry does every year but with one important difference: Mine is bigger.

With that in mind, let's take one final look back at....
