A large fire at Universal studios in California destroyed several classic movie sets, including the set for the Back to the Future movies. Also damaged were a large film vault, and part of the nearby theme park.
The blaze began around 4:30 A.M. and raged out of control for several hours. Firefighters were able to eventually bring the flames under control before they could spread to the surrounding hills.
The cause is still under investigation, but fire department officials suspect a malfunctioning flux capacitor.
